AOL City Guide Review
Since 1977, McFadden's has been celebrating -- just about any excuse will do, from bachelorette bashes to luaus to corporate happy hours to the Big Game. Now the New York-originated saloon is in Columbus and declares itself the wildest place in town with the party-hearty staff to back it up. Plus the upstart claims to have the "best d*** burger on High St" -- with several Wendy's and White Castles in the neighborhood, those are fighting words indeed. The rest of the menu consist of pub favorites like fish & chips, corned beef and cabbage and of course lots of sandwiches and fried appetizers. The festivities take place throughout several different rooms and floors, most have generously spaced tables and lots of wood and the inevitable flat screen TVs. Management strives to keep the cozy pub ambiance, despite the nonstop action, including the occasional live band. So long as the beer selection is solid and the alcohol flows, it's all good. -- Sandra Gurvis
